Experienced M&A PMO to lead post-merger technology integration in SaaS business
A global SaaS business had recently completed a very large acquisition and as the post-merger integration of the business was about to begin they needed a PMO to manage the IT aspects of the integration. They wanted someone who had strong existing knowledge and experience of three critical systems, NetSuite, Salesforce and their hosting infrastructure.
The company, who are regular users of the Talmix Talent Marketplace for their ongoing talent requirements in their core business, turned to Talmix because they wanted to bring in someone who as well as being knowledgeable and experienced in the technology side, and more critically, had impeccable project management experience so that they could focus on the management of the integration, relying on the strong capabilities of the team for the pure technology pieces. They were confident that this quality of PMO skills, including the ability to form strong ties with the overall integration office would be available at Talmix.
The Talmix process generated a shortlist of good matches, and the business found a consultant who exactly matched the key requirements of needing proven and repeat successes in M&A integrations, with the additional experience that would enable them to manage the technology integration. The successful consultant had over 20 years of M&A experience, with a deep knowledge of the full lifecycle from working on over 200 acquisitions, and ongoing strategy and execution of those integration projects. She had both consulting experience from one of the big four firms, and deep industry experience, before starting her freelance career.
Talmix was able to support the business on this integration, once again showing the quality and depth of experience of its business talent network, and the convenience of the process from using the platform to specify and match requirements with the network. The client continues to use Talmix for talent on-demand, to address expertise and bandwidth in its business as usual, and for specific M&A skills as it expands its business.
