Interim FP&A leader delivering process excellence
A PE-backed distributor of parts for manufacturing and plumbing required an interim FP&A lead while they sought a full-time replacement for the previous incumbent.
The primary requirement was to address the maturity of the processes, systems and team, with a remit to support ongoing business development and managing the impact of the value creation initiatives.
The client wanted the reassurance of someone with experience who could hit the ground running, and also move the function forward, and having used Talmix before, was confident that our network would be able to deliver this combination of readiness and expertise. From an initial pool of 12 shortlisted to 3, the client selected a consultant who had relevant experience within both FP&A and manufacturing at companies like Black & Decker and Thermo Fisher.
In particular they could demonstrate extensive and proven examples of developing FP&A process improvements and a strong emphasis on business partnering.
With a goal to generate actionable insights and implement powerful solutions with the wider team, the talent was placed on a five month interim project.
